Desdemona's life changed the moment she left her body for the first time at age fourteen. Nearly two decades later, she is forced out of her comfort zone again when she takes responsibility for her sister's destruction of a fan made of feathers she thought was harmless. That is, until their owner comes to claim her soul and servitude as compensation for what he considers a crime.
